autumn at Stourhead

Walks in the grounds of Stourhead are nice at any time of year, but autumn is more special, with the beauty of changing colours.

visitors for the winter

back in May I took this picture of a swan sitting on the nest in the middle of the lake

and this is the result; the whole family came close to have their pictures taken

enjoy your weekend!

Amazing autumn pictures! I especially like the image of the lone maple tree that has its reflection in the water. You are a great photographer!

Kära Radka! Your pictures of autumn are so beautiful. We had a wounderful walk along the lake Mälaren in Stockholm yeasterday. But without camera. The colours are similar but with more yellow and there was drissle that softened the sight. But we also saw a young swan! Lots of love!

What fabulous pics. So much to enjoy. Love the swan and its young ones. The white swans look so exotic as we are used to the black ones.
Thanks for sharing these lovely photos.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful your autumnal pictures of Stourhead! These colors are amazing. Every year mother nature gives us such wonderful gifts. The park is worth to visit in every season of the year (I only saw it in August, many years ago).
I noticed from your newest post, that you had snow too. I'm so glad it has gone again. The photo with the two horses in the fog is wonderful too. And not to forget, my compliments for your creativity. You're a very diligent person and talented in so many ways (I like your latest embroideries, they are very special).
Have a good time and stay warm!

Radka, it is true I have not been on your blog a long time and I missed a lot of wonderful pictures, like those of Stourhead. I will better myself - excuse: I have been ill and thought already that I have no more interest in stitching or knitting or blogging. But I seem to recover now. it would be awful.
