another temptation given in to

I told myself that I am not going to get involved in this one, I really did! When I saw a new BOM in the Vignette magazine, I thought "not for me". I don't even like Vignette that much, I think it is very overpriced for what you are getting; I formed that opinion after seeing the first ever issue. Well, it is still going, despite the price.

So, Mrs Beasley's Sampler Quilt wasn't for me.

I should not be even thinking about any new projects, I should be sorting out my stuff and packing, our house move could be only a couple of weeks away! And then I saw the first completed block on Helen's blog - and that was that.........I was hooked again....
I like the use of Tilda fabrics in the original pattern. I have some (not necessarily the same) in my stash already and I added some more and threads to match.

Of course, there is no chance of starting this now, I am just gathering.
Not only I should not be stitching right now, it is too hot to stitch. For a couple of weeks now we have been having a proper summer, but now the temperatures are hitting 30ºC. Even now, in the middle of the night as I am sitting here writing this, my hands are very hot.

But, it is fantastic weather for the garden.

I've seen a few doing this quilt and I love the look of it too but after buying the first 3 mags I thought no way as it is way to expensive for what it actually is. You will love stitching it though.

Mrs B's quilt is delightful. Gorgeous fabrics. I'll look forward to seeing it develop. Too hot to stitch or even think at the moment, not complaining though, we have been waiting for summer and this one is a blast! Lovely flowers and an amazing caterpillar.

Lovely photos Radka and I can relate to starting a new project!! However I have found that it is no good fighting the urge when a project reaches out to you. Good luck with the packing.
