Croatia - holiday memories (2)

Visit to Šibenik - the oldest Croatian city on the Adriatic coast is just up the coast from Primošten.

We had a wonderful local guide, who took us slowly through the oldest part of the city.

The "jewel in the crown" is UNESCO protected The Cathedral of St James
the construction of which started in 1431 and it took 100 years to be completed, entirely from stone.

A group of local male singers on the way out.

And now -  back to crafting ....

  1. Radu, Chorvatsko je má srdeční záležitost, teď jsem tam pár let nebyla a začíná se mi trochu stýskat...

  3. Amazing photos from a beautiful place. The fish caught my eye too. Such old historical buildings are so rare here. The narrow alley makes me think of life at the time it was all new.

  7. Wonderful photos, Radka, which I never saw -a shame - but we go directly to our place Hvar after a 1200 km drive each summer. We will take the plane next time.
