FNwF

Thank you again to Cheryll, who got us together again for a second FNwF this month; how that week flew by!
I wasn't doing anything exciting; I concentrated this week on finishing Arabian Nights blanket, and now it is only the tassels which need to be attached, so I spend the evening crocheting the last of them. I hope to finish the whole blanket by tomorrow.


The only other thing I picked up this weekend for sewing outside (the sunny weather still continues, although cooler today), is this linen table runner, which I bought what seems a long time ago, in the depth of winter, when the world was still "normal".
The design is a copy of Swedish design from 1960's.
At last a project I can use my linen threads for, which I bought years ago in Sweden.


This beautiful clematis is coming through from next door, isn't it a beauty? I think we see more of it than they do!



And just some pictures from our walk last week; we are fortunate that we don't need to walk far to be out of town; this is a walk along what used to a railway track.

    I love the look of your blanket ... it's going to be great and such a lovely linen project to do. I understand you have been having some good weather... a lovely way to sew... outdoors with a bit of sunshine.

    Lovely photos of the awakening nature. When I saw the new stitchery, I was immediately reminded of some cushions and a tea cosy back at home. My mother had made them, and I can imagine her patterns being also Swedish if not Finnish. Beautiful! I have all her remaining embroidery threads, cotton, linen, silk and wool, and now I'm tempted to use them for some small project.

    Looking forward to seeing your Arabian Nights. Is that a Linladan embroidery? I follow on Instagram and I have seen some beautiful and very tempting designs. I love the threads - I bought them at the K&S some years ago but am very sparing with where I use them incase I cant get more lol. Lovely picture of your clematis. xx
