It was a cold, cold week, the night temperatures were down to -6C or -7C in our part of the world, but dry, no snow yet.
The sun did come out during the day, making  it much more bearable.

This is a good time of year to huddle inside with a good book or a good stitching project.
Friday night was another FNwF, over at
Cheryll 's ;
the last one this year.
Big thank you to Cheryll, for being such a good host this year, and I am sure we are all looking forward to meeting up at "her place" next year!

What was I sewing?
In the afternoon I put together the 4 section of Mrs Beasley's Sampler quilt, so set down in the evening and started to hand quilt it.
It is a small quilt, so this should not take long.

I leave you with some pictures from last week.

  1. Radka, deka je nádherná!
U nás bolo dnes ráno -16, máme aj trocha snehu, cez deň slnečno -4, krásne dni! Len aby na Vianoce neprišlo oteplenie a dážď.
    Foto hmlistej krajiny sú krásne!

  2. Such a beautiful quilt. It will keep you warm as you hand quilt it.

  3. Beautiful and atmospheric photos! And the quilt is lovely too. It's really cosy to be in a warm home pottering around when it's cold outside. Enjoy.

  4. good to see you are now quiting your lovley quit. Cold here in the north too but it is going to get milder fear that means wet too!

  5. OOh! that looks very very cold - but beautiful too. Not as cold as that where I live. Quilt looks nice, aren't we grateful for our needlework projects to keep us happy indoors through the cold months.

  6. Lovely frosty pictures Radka. I am just back from a chilly weekend in Hertfordshire and we have been warned to pack warm clothes for Taunton next weekend! Looking forwar dto seeing the completed Mrs Beasly. xx

  7. The quilt is so pretty and I'm sure it's cozy. We are expecting 3-5 inches of snow this evening, with really cold temperatures for a couple of days afterwards.

  8. Love your stitchery - those fabrics really are lovely. And speaking of lovely...those foggy picture are divine!
